My photos were not geotagged, what is wrong?
Geotagging works by matching the timestamps on the photos with timestamps on the GPS track. The following issues can cause problems:
- If the time on the GPS device is not synched with the time on your camera this will cause issues. This happens quite often as if you go on holiday and move time zone your GPS will automatically update itself to the new time, most camera will however not.
- Sometimes GPS tracks get created with no timestamp information. If this is the case we are unable to automate the geotagging of photos unless the photos contain location information.
If you are having issues automating the geotagging process you can always manually geotag photos.
